How we work
Things you can hold us to.
We'd rather make promises you can check than hang a row of logos in a footer. Everything below is either in our Companies House record, written on our own website, or something you can hold us to on the day.

The person who quotes is the person who turns up
AJ4 Electrical is one electrician and one van. There's no dispatcher, no rota and no subcontractor you met this morning. Aaron walks round the job with you, Aaron does the work, and Aaron is who you ring if something isn't right afterwards.

A free estimate, and no job too big or small
The site visit and the estimate cost nothing, whether it's a socket in a shed or a control panel for a grain handling system. You get the scope and the figure before anything starts, and if the honest answer is that the job doesn't need doing, that's what you'll be told.

We say what's actually verifiable
The company was incorporated on 3 July 2023 and we say so. The NICEIC and myenergi badges are ones we display on our own site, and rather than print scheme numbers nobody can check, we'll email you our current certification and insurance on request — before you commit to anything.

Farms get treated like farms
A grain handling system that has stopped in the middle of harvest is not a job for next Tuesday. We can't promise an hour, because we're one van, but you'll get an honest time rather than a yes and a Thursday.

Occupied homes are somebody's home
On social housing and domestic work: appointment slots that get kept, dust sheets down, tenants told what's happening in their own house before it starts, and the power back on before we leave unless we've agreed otherwise.

Tested, certified, and the paperwork sent
Circuits tested, installations certified, notifiable work registered, boards labelled so the next person knows which way is which. The certificate gets emailed to you rather than promised — because a job with no paperwork is a job with no record, and that surfaces at the worst possible time.

We won't code a C3 as a C2 to sell you work
On condition reports, the coding is the whole document. We'll show you what we found and explain why it's coded the way it is, and we're happy to be asked to justify any line of it. If someone else's report has been generous to itself, we'll give you a second opinion.
